"Fear less, hope more; eat less, chew more; whine less, breathe more; talk less, say more; love more, and all good things will be yours". -Swedish Proverb

Current Objective:                                         Preparing to enter law school Fall 2016

Why law?                                                              Knowledge is power. You can use morals to determine the difference between right and wrong but in order to defend yourself you must know how to prove what is right and wrong according to the law. I believe all peoples rights and my part of that is ensuring that they have a fair trial and helping them understand the law. I believe this is a profession I could really be successful in. I have had experience by interning at a municipal court this past summer and also in high school interning with a local lawyer.

Completion of McDonough Leadership program includes a poster presentation of an example of a particular leadership theory. For my presentation I applied  Vroom and Jago’s Decision Making Model to George W. Bush’s decision in 2003 to declare war on Iraq, and determined that the President did not use the approach the model would have prescribed.

Non-Profit Experience

During my time at Marietta I had the opportunity to gain experience in the non- profit sector. I currently sit on the board of Main Street Marietta and have interned with Building Bridges to Careers. Please see my resume for more information. Below are a few examples of work I have done with the organizations and the Next Generation Non-Profit Program.

The Next Generation Non-Profit program included a grant application writing process through which we competed for up to $5,000 to be granted to our respective organization for capacity building. Below is the budget I presented to fund a downtown Marietta Mobile App through which Restore Marietta (Main Street Marietta) received $1,600.
